Opera Festival of Chicago presents a star-studded cast in Giacomo Puccini’s hit opera based on Abbé Prévost’s novel. Premiered in 1893, “Manon Lescaut” is  the tragic tale revolves around Manon’s struggle between love and luxury.

Floriana Bivona-Lockner

Born in Naples, Italy, Floriana’s first paying job as a teenager was as a singer of jingles for TV ads. She started taking voice lessons after moving to Chicago. As a regular member of Kathy Cowan’s Women’s Choir, she has performed on many stages throughout the city, but her proudest musical achievement remains her translation of the liner notes for the Anna Russell Album?, which married her love of languages and her love of music, as well as her enjoyment in making fun of Wagner.
