Maximiliano Illanes Campetella is a tenor from Patagonia, Argentina. This summer he will be preparing and singing the Verdian roles of Don Carlo in the opera Don Carlo, Arrigo in I Vespri Siciliani, Gabriele in Simon Boccanegra among others in La Vestale by Spontini and Beatrice di Tenda by Bellini for Operavision Academy online edition directed by Mrs Aprile Millo and Dr. Maria Vetere. Later this Summer he will be participating in the production of Il Tabarro with Opera Festival of Chicago. Past performances include the Verdian roles of Oronte in I Lombardi, Corrado in Il Corsaro, Alfredo in La Traviata (online edition); the Puccinian roles of Rodolfo in La Bohème (Evanston, IL), Ruggero and Prunier in La Rondine by Puccini (Bulgaria and Sicily), Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Sicily) and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi (Kansas). Other of his performances include Don Jose in Carmen (Sicily), Don Basilio and Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro (New York City and Sicily), Judge Danforth in The Crucible by J. Ward (Chicago), Tamino in Die Zauberflöte (New York City and Buenos Aires), Ramiro in La Cenerentola by Rossini (Buenos Aires).
