
Carmen Vizin is a Hungarian-Mexican Zwichenfach Opera singer based in Chicago, Illinois. She has previously performed the roles of Dorabella (“Così fan tutte”), Cherubino (“Le nozze di Figaro”), Melanto (“Return of Ulysses”), Dritte Dame (“Die Zauberflöte”), with her most recent role debut being Olga in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin.”
A second generation Hungarian, Carmen has performed concert repertoire with the Kelenvölgy Civil Cultural Salon and the annual Hungarian OrgonaPont Fesztivál, performing works ranging from Rimsky-Korsakov to Respighi with internationally-acclaimed Mezzo-Soprano Viktoria Vizin. Ms. Vizin has also been a frequent performer for the Wagner Society of Chicago and Lyric Opera Chapter concerts.
In the coming season, Carmen will be seen debuting as Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro,” with Opera Aeterna. She will make her return to the Opera Festival of Chicago this year, marking her third consecutive season with the festival.
