Ally Lewkowski is a Lyric Soprano. She has performed the role of Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Veronique in Bizet Dr. Miracle, and La Seconda Ceratrice in Puccini’s Suor Angelica.
She had the opportunity to serve as a guest artist in the Vizin Virtual Ensemble, an organization with the goal of making Opera more accessible. During this collaboration she was able to perform in their retelling of Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann entitled Hoffman. Her character was entitled Lindorf’s stepdaughter, which consisted of a large portion of the Antonia material. While in her undergraduate studies she was able to sing the partial role credit of La Contessa from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, while simultaneously serving as the assistant director for the production. She recently explored the Russian language while performing in the chorus in Tchaikovsky Eyvegy Onegin. Beyond Opera, she has previously served as the Soprano Section at the cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus. She continues to be an active part of the church music scene throughout Chicago and the North Suburbs. Ally holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in Vocal Performance. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Voice and Opera from DePaul University, where she is under the tutelage of Viktoria Vizin. Ally is thrilled to be joining the Opera Festival of Chicago as part of their Young Artist Program.
