
CeCe Hastreiter is a versatile soprano acclaimed for her dynamic performances across both classical and musical theater repertoires. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2019 and completed her Master of Music at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts in 2021.
Hastreiter has performed a wide range of operatic roles, including Adele in Die Fledermaus, Lola in Gallantry, Fiammetta in Prima Donna, and Athena in Arachne. She portrayed Despina in Così fan tutte while participating in the La Musica Lirica young artist program in Novafeltria, Italy. Her stage work also includes notable performances as Maureen in RENT, Lindsay in Godspell, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.
She has appeared with ensembles and institutions such as Opera Omaha, Résonance, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lincoln Symphony Orchestra, and Carnegie Hall. She made her solo debut with the Lincoln Symphony in their Deck the Halls concert and recently premiered the role of Bibi in Daron Hagen’s new opera 9/10: Love Before the Fall, released as a film in 2023.
As a concert soloist, Hastreiter has been featured in major choral works, including Handel’s Messiah, Brahms’s Requiem, Fauré’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Mass in C, and Bach’s Cantata 129. She continues to build her presence as a liturgical musician and currently sings with St. John Cantius in Chicago.
Upcoming, Hastreiter will perform the role of Adina in Opera for the Young’s production of The Elixir of Love.
