Born in Naples, Italy, Floriana’s first paying job as a teenager was as a singer for TV ads. In Chicago, she worked as a translator and interpreter for many years. She is a regular member of the award-winning Kathy Cowan Women’s Choir. Her proudest musical achievement remains her translation into Italian of the liner notes for the “Anna Russell Album,” which married her love for languages and her love for music, as well as her enjoyment in making fun of Wagner.
