
Jorie Clark is entering her second year as a graduate student at DePaul University; studying with Dr. Viktoria Vizin. She made her main-stage debut with DePaul Opera Theatre as Suor Angelica in the spring of 2025. Clark graduated Millikin University with her Bachelor of Music, studying with Dr. Amy Fuller, in May 2023. At Millikin, Clark was the 2022 winner of the Millikin-Decatur Symphony Orchestra Concerto/Aria Competition and the winner of the prestigious Hollis Prize Competition in 2019. Clark was awarded both regional and national titles with The NATs Competition in 2018, 2022, and 2023. She has graced the stage in both principle and comprimario roles during her time at Millikin in operas such as Suor Angelica, Così fan Tutte, Trial by Jury, A Hand of Bridge, Die Zauberflöte, et al. Additionally, she performed with the American touring flagship ensemble, The Millikin University Choir, The Millikin Women’s Choir, and Millikin’s Baroque Ensemble Camerata. She is a returning performer with the annual Five Cities Baroque Festival with such works as J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion, Mozart’s Davide Penitente, and Marianna Martines’s Dixit Dominus. Clark made her Hawaiian debut with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival in 2018 covering the role of Beth in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, under the direction of Carleen Graham of Houston Grand Opera.
