Chinese baritone Lifan Deng is a recent graduate of Northwestern University Bienen School of Music where he received his master’s degree in voice and opera. Lifan also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. An active member in the Chicago theatrical scene, Lifan has appeared this season as Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte, the title role in The Emperor of Atlantis (Northwestern Opera Theater), Voce 2 in the U.S. premiere of Il nostro nel mondo (Thompson Street Opera Company), Old Adam in Ruddigore (Gilbert & Sullivan Opera company), Olin Britt in The Music Man (Metropolis PAC), and The Police Agent and Mr.Kofner in The Consul (Third Eye Theatre Ensemble).
