Luca Dalbosco

Luca Dalbosco studied Set Design and Technical production at the Academy of fine Arts in Venice. Before his first degree in 2014 he designed the Sets for “Betly” by G.
Donizetti at Teatro Donizetti and Sociale in Bergamo. After his first degree he became André Barbe’s (of Barbe & Doucet) set designer assistant.

In 2017 he designed sets and costumes for “La Scala di seta” by G. Rossini and “Rigoletto” by G. Verdi for Wexford Festival Opera 2017 shortworks. In 2019 he designed sets and costumes for “L’inganno felice” by G. Rossini and “Cendrillon” by P. Viardot for Wexford Festival Opera 2019 shortworks.

He worked with Barbe & Doucet on many productions: “Il Bravo” by S. Mercadante at Wexford Festival Opera 2018, “La Grande Duchesse de Gérolstein” by Jaques Offenbach at Oper Köln, “Magic Flute” by W. A. Mozart for Glyndebourne Festival 2019, “Pelléas et Mélisande” by Claude Debussy for Teatro Regio di Parma (2021) and “Die Fledermaus” by J.Strauss at Hamburgische Staatsoper (2021), “La Cenerentola” by G. Rossini at Latvian Opera (2021), “Il Signor Bruschino” by G. Rossini at Rossini Opera Festiva (2021).

The Upcoming work will be set designer assistant for “La Fille du Regiment” by G. Donizetti at Teatro La Fenice (2022).
