Margaret Meierhenry

Margaret “Margo” Meierhenry from Sioux Falls, South Dakota is a second year vocal performance masters student at DePaul University in Chicago and a 2023 graduate of the University of South Dakota. She began her 2025 with her professional debut as an apprentice artist at Sarasota Opera. There she performed the role of Una Donna in Le Nozze fi Figaro, and sang chorus for Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Le Nozze fi Figaro and Stiffelio. In 2024, she performed the roles of Blanche in Poulenc’s Dialogue of the Carmelites at the Festival of International Opera in Urbania, Italy and the role of Eliza in Nico Muhly’s Dark Sisters at DePaul Opera Theatre. Some of her stand out roles include Angelica in Giacomo Puccini’s Suor Angelica and the titular character in G.F. Hansel’s Alcina.
