
Pamela Spann, mezzo-soprano, is thrilled to be back for her third season as a member of the Opera Festival of Chicago Chorus. As a member of the chorus, she has sung in Pizzetti’s Assassinio nella Cattedrale, Verdi’s Attila, Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, and Dallapiccola’s Il Prigioniero. Recently, Ms. Spann covered the role of Ruth in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance with Great Lakes Operetta. She also recently sang in both ensembles and choruses in Great Lakes Operetta’s “Operetta Around the World” Concert. Ms. Spann has also been a member of the South Shore Opera Company of Chicago Chorus. She is currently a member of the Chancel Choir at Fourth Presbyterian Church and has been a soloist at Salem Lutheran Church and the University of Chicago’s Bond Chapel. Additionally, she has given a joint recital at the New Music School with a program that included Wagner’s “Wesendonck Lieder” and arias by composers such as Verdi and Mascagni. Ms. Spann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Dartmouth College and currently studies voice with Scott Ramsay.
