Victoria Zamora is a mezzo-soprano born in Nashville TN to Spanish immigrants who made sure to keep their Castilian culture alive in the house. Victoria has been immersed in the music world since a very young age by singing with symphonic choirs, going on musical tours in the U.S and Europe, and learning at the Vanderbilt School of Music. Her specialty for Spanish art songs was established when she was asked to be the solo performance in the XIV International Festival of Poetry based in Philadelphia. She consistently sings works by Falla, Obradors. Francisco Barbieri and Montsalvage. Victoria recently played the role of “Bibi” in Daron Hagen’s world premiere of 9/10: Love before the Fall and executed the role of “Sarah” in Jonathon Dove’s Tobias and the Angel. This summer she will make her debut as “Nancy” in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring for the Harrower Summer Opera Young Artist Program.
